James Burke had two directives from SpeedWorks co-owners Peter Parrott and Hayden Harris … provide the team with solid race data for SpeedWorks engineer Kenny Brown, and bring the car home in one piece. Burke not only fulfilled both these missions, he also won two BFGoodrich g-force R1 tires for the team when he earned the “Take Control” Award for improving his starting position. Having to start at the back of the grid Burke drove as high as 11th before finishing 12th and earning his first 21 Mustang Challenge driver points.
