James recently drove the Utah Jazz Grand Am Race Car to as high as 4th and for a period of time being the lead Ford Mustang!!
25-year-old James Burke has a wealth of racing driving and instructing experience through exposure to all kinds of motor racing. In the Grand AM Cup USA, he handed over the car in 7th Place, after qualifying for the team in 10th place in his first ever professional race. James came 3rd in the British GT Global Lights BRSCC Sports Car Championship and has had numerous race wins and podium finishes.
James has been a professional race car driver, instructor, and driver coach for over eight years and has worked at every major circuit in the UK. Making his Grand-Am debut in 2006 and having campaigned the 25 hours of Thunder Hill, James is already making a big impact in American MotorSport! NEWS FLASH !!!! James Drives : Mustang Challenge Prototypes Finish 1-2 in Class in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill
TOOELE COUNTY, UTAH (December 4, 2007) -- What began as a data-collection exercise for a pair of developmental prototypes of the Ford Mustang FR500S in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill at Thunderhill Park Raceway in Willows, Calif., this past weekend wound up with the best possible result as the two cars finished first and second in the ES class and fifth and sixth overall in America's longest road race. The No. 98 entry was co-driven by MMP Director of Racing Mitch Wright and two instructors from the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School, Cindi Lux and James Burke. The race is longer and more challenging than Le Mans or Daytona; 25 Hours of Thunderhill is the new king of enduros
